Podcasting FAQs

Question How do I get my podcast on Apple Podcasts?

Answer

You can upload your podcast to Ohio State's Apple Podcasts channel and other directories by first creating an RSS feed that will distribute your podcast episodes. Reach out to Scarlet Studio and schedule a consultation call to go through the process of getting setup with a website and RSS feed for your podcast.

Question What are the requirements for starting a podcast at Ohio State?

Answer

To start a podcast, you'll need essential equipment like a quality microphone, along with a computer (desktop, laptop, or tablet) to record and edit using software like Adobe Podcasts. It's recommended that you have at least three episodes recorded and edited before you publish your podcast. Request a podcast consultation with Scarlet Studio to get your setup with a website and RSS feed to store and distribute episodes to directories like Apple Podcasts and YouTube podcasts. Directories also require will artwork sized at 3000x3000 pixels. This artwork should align to Ohio State brand standards.
