Question
How often will I receive a usability test?

Answer

You'll be randomly selected for tests or questions as they are prepared. You can expect 4-5 usability exercises or questions a year.

Question
Can I get off the panel if I change my mind?

Answer

Yes. You can always unsubscribe from the panel and the email invitations. Simply send an email to userexperience@osu.edu and we can remove you from invitatations.

Question
What kinds of things are tested?

Answer

We're glad you asked. Usability tests can take many forms.

  • Design concepts or user interface tests. You’ll help us pick the best ways to show different things.
  • First-click or navigation tests. This will enable us to ensure relevant content is findable on web pages.
  • Information. The way you experience content provides us an understanding of how web page content can be perceived.

Some tests will be one or two simple questions. Some will be invitations to provide a more thorough explanation.
